In its continued against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of August-September 2020 detected 35 cases with a seizure of 467.200 litres of i/d liquor and 102.320 litres IMFL. In this connection, 22 persons were arrested under Excise Act.
