With strong belief in the Strength of a Woman to carry the Weight of the World and acknowledging their Unique Role in each one’s Life, SPARK organized a Special Programme for Women in the Rural Areas. The aim of the programme was to provide a Special Platform to the Rural Women who are quite unaware of the Unique and Precious Role THEY play in the building up of the Family, Society as well as the Nation as a whole. The Women especially in the Rural Areas remain the UNSUNG HEROES and hardly receive any platform where their valuable contributions are acknowledged and appreciated.
Hence SPARK initiated this special programme to Honour and Appreciate the Women’s contribution towards development of the Society and the importance of Women Empowerment for the Well being of the Nation as a whole. They were also sensitized about Women Rights thereby building up their capacity to fight against increasing instances of crime against women and the measures to protect themselves from such crimes.The Programme was organized on the 8th of March 2021 at Mawlong Umsawli Village, Mawlynrei Triashnong Village and Rangmen Nongsder Village with more than 260 women invitees participating in it. The day also consisted of celebrating the success of the women in day to day life and their efforts, concern and hard work towards well being of their family, taking care of children and bringing them us as well as contribution of women in the development of the society and Nation as a whole.
The children also conducted a Special Prayers for the Strength, Development Well being of the Women as a whole while the young ones presenting a heart touching song to express their love and gratitude towards their MOTHERS and Women Folk as a whole.
SPARK, as being ran, by a single woman on individual initiative and its journey from scrap to achievement of winning awards at the National level, was also celebrated during the day with the objective to encourage others that nothing is impossible if one is determined towards it.
As a whole, the programme brought light into the lives of women on this special occasion thereby leading them to a brighter living with respect and dignity
