On 19th Nov’ 2022, troops of 04 Bn BSF under BSF Meghalaya seized 1025 bottles of Phensedyl amounting Rs. 2.1 lakhs from the international border of West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya which were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
Since the commencement of this year, BSF Meghalaya seized 7433 bottles of phensedyl from Indo-Bangladesh Border. Smuggling prone routes and patches are kept under strict vigilance by BSF to tighten the noose on smugglers and to discourage their nefarious attempts.
