On Dec’ 05, 2023, the 110 Battalion of BSF Meghalaya organized a free Medical camp as part of its efforts to ensure the well-being of the population living along the Indo- Bangladesh border. The medical camp was conducted under the Civic Action Programme at village Omkhawa in the East Khasi Hills district, in the presence of Sh Sandip, Comdt 110 Bn and other BSF Officials.

During the camp, doctor from BSF conducted free health checkups and distributed medicines to the needy villagers of the bordering villages Bamantila, Omkhawa, Adarghat & Kasinda. More than 250 local villagers from nearby border areas benefited from this medical camp. As part of the civic action program, stationary, sports items, utensils etc. were distributed to the students of upper primary school and needy villagers in Omkhawa. The noble efforts made by the Border Security Force were appreciated by the local populace.
