The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – I Camp at NEHU Shillong is continuing on with full enjoyment and enthusiasm as the young cadets partake in various competitions in displaying the vibrant culture of their roots through singing and dancing with pride A Cultural competition comprising of Group Song, Group Dance, Solo Song, Solo Dance, National Integration Awareness Presentation, Debate and Extempore competition were held. The Cdts were also made to undergo a two day special training by the Ex Participants Association of India popularly known as EXPA who are a group of ex Cdts from all over the country. The aim of the special training was to teach cdts life skills, teaches them to identify their strengths and weaknesses, develop their intra personal and inter personal skills and to groom their personality to be future leaders of the country. The Cadets are also taught to unity in diversity through inter mixing of Group and each cdt will teach their own cultural dances and songs and at the same time learn the culture of others. The Cadets also had a fun-packed day on 12 Dec 2023 and were able to witness the glorious sites of Sohra as they visit the attractions of Thangkharang Park, Mawsmai Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls, and the Air Force Museum. The cherry on top of the cake was the opportunity to meet Hima Das, the India Sprinter from Assam, belovedly know as “The Dhing Express”. The cadets were joyous to be able to interact with such an inspiring personality.
