On Feb’ 5th, 2024, alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya successfully apprehended a Bangladeshi national along with three cattle (buffaloes) in the bordering area of East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.

Acting on a specific tip-off, vigilant troops of 172 Bn BSF laid a special ambush in the bordering area of Rattachera, leading to the apprehension of one Bangladeshi national identified as Md Kamil Ahmed (21 years) resident of Donachera, Sylhet, Bangladesh along with buffaloes.

The apprehended Bangladeshi person, along with seized buffaloes was handed over to PS- Umkiang for further legal action.
