19-South Shillong BJP MLA Shri Sanbor Shullai on 9th June 2024 celebrated with his party karyakartas the swearing in ceremony of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for the 3rd term. He also thanked the electorates of 19th South Shillong constituency who voted in favour of National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Calling them far sighted and visionary, Mr. Shullai said that even after 52 years of statehood our political ambitions are still not justified. We should be matured when it comes to making political decisions and if it specially involves our future generation. We shouldn’t stall our development for vote bank politics. Prime Minister shri Narendra Modi Ji in his speech has clearly stated that out of the 10 tribal dominated states including Christian majority states, majority of them are ruled by the NDA. Local issues should not be deterred by religious sentiments. Shullai specified that there has never been an incident where any religious community in our state has been side- lined by our party. As a matter of fact, Amit Shah Ji during his last visit in Shillong had asked party workers to reach out to our church leaders. However, it was sad to see during this election that fake and purported videos which had nothing to do with our state dominated the issue and was widely spread to create a mistrust. However, the electorates of South Shillong have proven once again they are aligned with the pro development movement.Meanwhile Shullai congratulated BJP karyakartas across the country for giving a strong fight against the opposition. Shullai also extended his well wishes to both the elected MPs from Meghalaya and expressed that he hopes for them to help meet the aspirations of our state and its people.Shullai firmly believes that our Prime minister Narendra Modi Ji will be able to live up to the expectations of the nation and ensure that all communities, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and gender will be taken care of by the Modi ji government.
