On 13th October 2024, alert troops of 172 Bn BSF Meghalaya seized medical accessories (IV cannula sets) worth more than ₹1 crore intended to be smuggled to Bangladesh from the International border of East Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya.

Acting on specific info, the vigilant BSF troops conducted a special operation near the border area of Dona in East Jaintia Hills and seized medical accessories ( Cannula sets) worth more than Rs 01 crore while being smuggled to Bangladesh. The seized goods were handed over to customs office Badarpur for further necessary action.
