In a major breakthrough, a team from the Special Cell EKH nabbed 3 bike thieves red-handed, from 101Area in the wee hours, namely Shri Timus Warbah(30yrs), Shri Babar Mawblei(26yrs ) and Shri Synraplang Makri(23yrs ), all from Jirang Ribhoi .An Alto car used by them to move around the city to scout for bikes parked on the road side, has been seized. A KTM bike stolen early in the morning yesterday from Malki was recovered from their possession . Two persons Meaibor Kharryjja 26 yrs from Sohlap Shella and Bakordor Rapmai 24 yrs of Jatap Shella who help in handing over the stolen bikes to the buyers in Bangladesh have also been nabbed. The gang has been involved in many bike lifting cases in Shillong. They are in Police custody now.
