The District Child Protection Officer, District Child Protection Unit, East Khasi Hills has informed that a newborn infant girl was abandoned at a pan shop near Civil Hospital, Shillong at around 5:30 AM. The said infant is now under the care and protection of Lawei Baphyrnai, Specialised Adoption Agency, Shillong.

Any person(s)/relatives having information of any sort regarding the above mentioned infant may kindly contact the Office of the District Child Protection Unit, East Khasi Hills at 0364-7962188 or Office of the Child Welfare Committee, East Khasi Hills at 0364-7962188 or Lawei Baphyrnai Specialised Adoption Agency, Lumsohphoh, East Khasi Hills at 9612168593 within 60 days from the date of publication of this notice, failing which the child will be declared legally free for adoption.
