In this season, the Meghalaya Swimming Association has selected five young swimmers from the state — including two girls and three boys — to participate in the upcoming swimming competition scheduled for the 25th of this month in Odisha. The event is the Senior 78th National Aquatic Championship 2025 and will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

These five swimmers will depart from Shillong tomorrow and head to Odisha. They were selected after winning at the state level.

Speaking to the media, the association’s leader, Mr. Ian Lyngdoh, said that the swimmers will compete in their respective styles, and the association is hopeful that they will bring pride and recognition to the state.
