In a swift response to a reported theft, police from Madanrting Police Station apprehended four individuals on charges of breaking into a tourist vehicle and stealing valuables. The incident occurred last evening around 8 PM when Shri Jay Nand Kishore Joshi and his family, along with a newlywed couple from Mumbai, parked their Toyota Innova near the Mahindra Showroom at Mawblei and went to dine at “By the Way” restaurant.

Upon returning, the group discovered that the window glass of their vehicle had been broken and their luggage stolen. The stolen items included ₹50,000 in cash and an iPhone 13. A case was immediately registered at the Madanrting Police Station.

Acting swiftly, the Special Party of Madanrting Police this evening apprehended four suspects from Mawblei Block B and successfully recovered all stolen items and cash.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Shri Chaphrang Nangkiew Sutnga (24) of Mawblei

Shri Wanjop Kharumnuid (23) of Laitkor Nonglum

Shri Albertstar Kharhujon (22) of Umphyrnai

Shri Michael Nongrum (45) of Demthring Block A

Further investigation is ongoing.
