The Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, had on the 24th June, 2025, formally launched the Revamped Website of the Commission. The website was revamped for the ease of use for the general public and to foster awareness of the Commission and also to improve the connection between the Commission and the public at large.

The launch coincided with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the creation of a portal to track the cases of crimes against children and by children as per the Juvenile Justice Act, 2005. The MoU was signed between the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Meghalaya.

The revamped website was launched by Bah Paul Lyngdoh, Minister i/c Social Welfare Department, in the presence of Smti. Agatha K Sangma, Chairperson of the Meghalaya Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Smti. Iamonlang M Syiem, Chairperson, Meghalaya Women’s Commission.

During the event, the Minister highlighted the recent surge of crimes against children and by children and highlighted the work done by the Police Department in cracking several cases related to child protection and also assured of the Government of Meghalaya’s commitment to ensure the protection of child rights in the State.
