Acting on specific input, alert troops of 22 Bn BSF Meghalaya successfully foiled an infiltration attempt by Bangladeshi nationals in the bordering area of West Garo Hills district.
At Matchokpara on Hill Road, BSF troops observed three vehicles coming from the Purakhasia side and heading towards Barengapara along State Highway-12 (SH-12). The operational team swiftly swung into action and intercepted the target vehicles. Subsequent verification revealed that 26 Bangladeshi nationals were being facilitated by four Indian touts in an attempt to infiltrate into India. All individuals involved were successfully apprehended by the vigilant BSF personnel. This successful operation, based on precise BSF intelligence inputs, stands as a testament to the unwavering vigilance, operational efficiency, and dedication of BSF Meghalaya in safeguarding national security.
