The primary objective of the visit was to assess the status of loan repayments by industrial units that have availed financial assistance from MIDC Ltd. The Committee reviewed the progress of both defaulters and partially compliant parties, and encouraged them to ensure regular and full repayment.

Observations Made During the Visit:

M/s CMJ Breweries Pvt. Ltd., Ri-Bhoi District, was found to be consistent and on schedule with its repayment obligations.
M/s Greystone Strips Pvt. Ltd., Ri-Bhoi District, and M/s Greystone Smetters Pvt. Ltd., Ri-Bhoi District which had previously defaulted, has made partial repayments. However, the Managing Director of the company will need to be contacted for further clarification, as the dues remain unsettled and incomplete.
M/s Byrnihat Hotel Cum Shopping Complex, Byrnihat Proper, Ri-Bhoi District, has been unable to complete its project due to the absence of electricity supply. This has severely hampered the progress and operational viability of the complex, thereby affecting its ability to generate revenue and repay the loan. The Committee assured that it will take up the matter with the concerned departments to facilitate a resolution to the power supply issue.
The Committee emphasized the critical importance of timely loan repayment to safeguard the financial stability and effectiveness of MIDC Ltd. It reaffirmed its commitment to regular monitoring and oversight to ensure responsible utilization of public funds and to support the overall industrial development of the state.
