The All Selsella NGOs’ Alliance has expressed deep disappointment over the continued negligence of the Government of Meghalaya regarding the dilapidated condition of the Selsella PWD Road. Despite submitting multiple representations and requests to the concerned authorities, there has been no positive response or action taken by the Government to address this critical issue.

As responsible citizens and community organizations committed to public welfare, the NGOs and residents of Selsella have decided that they can no longer remain silent while commuters continue to suffer. They have therefore collectively resolved to repair the Selsella PWD Road using their own resources. Contributions toward this urgent repair work are being made by both NGOs and members of the public.

The Alliance further stated that this initiative is being undertaken with utmost respect for the Nation’s Independence Day. Efforts are underway to complete the repair work before 15th August 2025, as a mark of responsibility and love for the country.

The All Selsella NGOs’ Alliance has urged the Government of Meghalaya to take this matter seriously and fulfill its duty toward the people of Selsella. If the Government fails to act, the people will take the lead themselves.
