The Border Security Force (BSF), India’s premier border guarding force, has extended its ongoing Constable (General Duty) Recruitment Rally in Meghalaya till September 18, 2025, in response to the overwhelming and enthusiastic participation of youth from across the state.
Since the rally commenced, the BSF has witnessed an exceptional turnout, with over 10,000 candidates already registered. The enthusiasm shown by aspiring youths — many of whom have traveled long distances from remote and far-flung areas — reflects a deep sense of patriotism and a strong desire to serve the nation. It is this remarkable level of interest and commitment that prompted BSF authorities to extend the rally, ensuring that every eligible and motivated candidate gets the opportunity to participate.
Organized under the aegis of the Meghalaya Frontier Headquarters, Shillong, the recruitment rally is being conducted at two primary venues: BSF Campus, 200 Bn Dhanakgiri, Tura SHQ BSF Mawpat Campus, Shillong.
Participation at both locations continues to grow daily. Notably, the rally has recorded a 70:30 male-to-female participation ratio, highlighting the rising aspiration and empowerment of young women keen to serve in one of India’s most respected uniformed services.
With this extension, the BSF reaffirms its commitment to empowering local youth and building a strong, inclusive, and dedicated force. For the youth of Meghalaya, joining the BSF represents not just a career, but a chance to embrace a life of honor, courage, and national service.
