The Governor of Meghalaya, Shri C.H. Vijayashankar, today participated in the Hindi Diwas celebration held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong.
As part of the programme, the Governor released several publications, including books and a magazine authored by scholars from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS), Shillong; a book by Smt. Jaya Kalra; a publication by Ibatriti Myrthong; and a book written by the Hindi Officer of IIM Shillong.
The event also featured a special felicitation ceremony, during which the Governor honoured poets for their contributions to Hindi literature.
In addition, an arts and painting exhibition was inaugurated by the Governor, followed by a Hindi workshop conducted by Shri Parth Sarthi Pandey of KHS Shillong.
The celebration aimed to promote the Hindi language and recognize literary talent in the region.
