The Synjuk Ki Rangbah Kur Ka Bri U Hynñiewtrep (Confederation of Clan Elders of the Land of the Hynñiewtrep) was founded on 7 January 2019, under the leadership of Bah H. S. Shylla during his tenure as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), along with other elders. From its inception, the Synjuk set its mission to preserve and uphold the clan lineage system (kheiñ kur kheiñ kha) traced through the mother, within the framework of the Dorbar Thawaiñ Dalariti (KHADC).

However, difficulties continued to mount, leading the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Kur Ka Bri U Hynñiewtrep to convene its Third General Dorbar on 27 September 2025.

The gathering deliberated thoroughly on the subject under the chairmanship of Robert June Kharjahrin nad the same was reiterated by the Chief Guest, Bah Strongpillar Kharjana, Chairman of the KHADC, who highlighted the social realities and daily challenges faced by the community. He emphasized that the role of the maternal uncle (kñi) is essential in strengthening the clan by guiding and nurturing the younger generation, bearing responsibility, and being a role model for the coming lineage.
