The Government of Meghalaya has declared 12th April, 2021 as paid holiday to all public/private commercial and industrial enterprise etc. (including shops and factories) falling under the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council to enable the voters of the aforesaid District Council constituencies to exercise their franchise. This was informed by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Labour Department.
