The Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Meghalaya has directed all the factory owners in the State of Meghalaya to declare Weekly Holiday in respect of their respective units on the date of poll on the 27th February, 2023 instead of the First Day of the week as provided under section 52 of the Factories Act, 1948 to enable the voters to exercise their franchise on the day of poll for the General Election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, 2023.
