After the expiry of the 8-day police custody granted by the court for investigation, the five accused in the alleged murder of Raja Raghuwanshi at Sohra during his honeymoon were produced again.

The accused include Raj, reportedly a former lover of Sonam, along with Sonam Raghuwanshi, the wife of the deceased Raja Raghuwanshi, and her three friends.

On the evening of June 19, 2025, the police once again brought Sonam, Raj, and her three friends to court to seek further time for detailed investigation into the death of Raja Raghuwanshi.

Following the court hearing, the police were granted custody of Raj and Sonam for another 2 days for interrogation, while the other three accused — Bishal, Anand, and Akash — were sent to 14-day judicial custody.
