Due to detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts in the residence of Mr. Prince Bharti and Mr. Vicky Sarmah at Cleve Colony, CPWD Quarter which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 5th November, 2020 has declared the above mentioned residence as a micro containment area so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site with effect from 5th November, 2020.
The order states that no persons are allowed to move into the containment area and inhabitants within the containment area shall not move out and they shall strictly remain inside their home.
The Incident Commander, Zone – 1, Shillong shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the order.
Any violation of the order will entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.
