SHILLONG : A 16-year-old boy from Mawkyrdep village in the Umroi area of Ri Bhoi district has been missing from home since August 1, 2026, with his family and police continuing efforts to trace him.
The missing boy has been identified as Mebanteinam Ramshon, aged 16. According to information available, he has not returned home since leaving on August 1.
Family members said the boy had reportedly introduced himself as a “Brother” and had been seeking help from members of the public, including food and a place to stay.
Following his disappearance, family members and police have been searching for him and have appealed to the public for assistance in locating him.
Anyone who has seen Mebanteinam Ramshon or has any information about his whereabouts has been requested to immediately contact the Umroi Police Investigation Centre (PIC) at 9612922695 or the nearest police station.
The family has urged the public to share any information that could help trace the missing teenager and reunite him with his family.
