As per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of Meghalaya in PIL No. 7 of 2024 (Phuyosa Yobin vs State of Meghalaya & anr) and Public Notice issued by this office vide letter No. EJHD/Judl.48/Pt. III/2025/119, dated Khliehriat, the 18th June, 2025 and in pursuance to this office order vide letter No. EJHD/Judl.48/ Pt. III/ 2025/173, dated Khliehriat, the 4th July, 2025, a joint inspection was carried out on the 8th July, 2025 by the Executive Magistrates, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, officials from the Police along with the representatives from Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, Shillong.

Several shops located at Ladrymbai Market, Khliehriat Marker, Sookilo Market and Umpleng area (Cement Marker) has been enters & inspected. During inspection approximately 1705.451 Kgs of Single Use Plastics of less than 120 Microns has been seized.
