Additional director general, BSF (Eastern Command) Kolkata, Ms. Sonali Mishra, IPS is visiting Meghalaya Frontier BSF for reviews of the current security scenario and operational preparedness on Indo-Bangladesh International border.

2. On her 03 days visit from 15th -17th Feb’ 2023, she was welcomed by Sh. Pradip Kumar, IPS, IG of BSF Meghalaya and other senior officers of Meghalaya Frontier. The Inspector General briefed ADG about the area of responsibility of Frontier and discussed the challenges along the Indo- Bangladesh international border and measures to control trans-border crimes.

3. On 16th Feb’ 2023 ADG, visited the Border Out Posts (BOPs) Pyrdwah, Muktapur and Dawki of 4 Bn and interacted with the field commanders. She took stock of the security scenario, reviewed the border domination and operational preparedness in order to make Indo-Bangladesh international border crime free. She applauded the efforts and dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and efforts being made to control crime on the International border.

4.      The ADG will also chair Sainik Sammelan at BOP Dawki on 17th Feb’ 2023 to evaluate the real time problems being faced by the troops deployed on ground in domination of the border areas. This Sammelan will also be attended virtually by bordermen deployed at other locations under Frontier Meghalaya.
