Extending helping hand to the needy bordering population on 23 March 2023, 100 Bn BSF Meghalaya distributed various community welfare items to the people of far flung border villages during a Civic Action Programme organized at Killapara, West Garo hills.
BSF distributed furniture, computers, sports items stationery items and white boards for the academic upliftment of school students of remote bordering schools. Apart from this, fans, water purifiers and water storage tanks were also provided to needy and underprivileged population as an effort to ameliorate their quality of life.
“BSF is committed to serving the needs of needy citizens, particularly those who lives in border area by providing essential and needful items to alleviate some of the hardships faced by them. We feel esteemed to serve our citizens in any way possible” Commandant 100 Bn BSF said.
