In its drive against illicit liquor, the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District have conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of March, 2021, the Excise staffs detected 7 cases with a seizure of 25.500 litres of i/d liquor and 1.980 litres IMFL. In this connection, 5 persons have been arrested under Excise Act.
