Through coordinated efforts and swift action by the district police team, under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police, East Jaiñtia Hills, the missing woman was successfully located in Ahmedabad and rescued. She is currently on her way back home and is reported to be safe.
Reacting to the incident, JNC (CEC) Vice President Bah Nangjan Dkhar stated that the case highlights the government’s lack of adequate attention toward creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth. He emphasized that if proper policies and support systems were in place, young people would not be forced to migrate in search of work and risk facing such dangers.
He further added that the incident should serve as a serious reminder to the state government to prioritize the welfare and future of its youth to prevent similar unfortunate situations.
