SHILLONG : The Election Committee of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has declared three key posts uncontested for the upcoming 16th Central Executive Committee (CEC) election, scheduled to be held on May 9.

According to the committee, Raymond Kharjana is set to become the next KSU president unopposed. He holds a degree in Computer Applications.
Meanwhile, Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, a research scholar in law, is poised to take over as vice president, while Reuben Anderson Najiar is set to assume the post of general secretary, also unopposed.
The announcement follows the completion of document scrutiny by the Election Committee on April 15. A total of 38 candidates have been cleared to contest for 10 posts in the 16th KSU CEC election.
Polling for the remaining positions will be conducted at Dinam Hall from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on May 9.
The upcoming election is expected to shape the leadership and direction of one of the most influential student organisations in Meghalaya.
