SHILLONG : Pa’iem Ainam Manik Syiem has reclaimed the throne as the full-fledged Syiem of Hima Mylliem after the High Court of Meghalaya ruled in his favour on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Pa’iem Ainam had earlier been suspended by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) on May 22, 2026.
Following the suspension, Pa’iem Ainam approached the High Court challenging the decision of the District Council.
The High Court subsequently set aside the order issued by the KHADC, paving the way for Pa’iem Ainam to resume his position as the Syiem of Hima Mylliem.
The court’s decision on August 11 has now cleared the way for Pa’iem Ainam Manik Syiem to reclaim the throne as the full-fledged Syiem of Hima Mylliem.
