Shillong : In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and improving student employability, St Edmund’s College, Shillong has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emporium Training and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata.
The MoU was formally signed on March 25, 2026, at the College Conference Room by Brother Sunil Britto, Principal In-Charge, representing St Edmund’s College, and Mr. Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager, on behalf of Emporium Training and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of members of the college management and consultancy representatives.
The agreement will remain in effect for a period of three years, with the possibility of renewal based on mutual consent. The collaboration aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills, enhance career awareness, and provide job placement opportunities, particularly in the rapidly growing aviation and hospitality sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Brother Sunil Britto stated that the initiative will help bridge the gap between education and employment by preparing students for real-world industry demands. Meanwhile, Mr. Anirban Mukherjee reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to creating meaningful career pathways for students aspiring to build careers in the aviation industry.
This partnership is expected to open new avenues for students of St Edmund’s College, enabling them to access professional training, guidance, and employment opportunities in emerging sectors.
