Nongpoh: Teachers of St Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh, celebrated with great joy after one of their students secured a place in the Top 10 of the HSSLC Arts stream results घोषित by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Monday.
Starwell Ronghang achieved the 9th position with an impressive score of 433 marks. The school honoured him in a special felicitation ceremony held on campus.
Upon hearing the news, teachers initially tried to contact the student but were unable to reach him. Without delay, they went to his residence to bring him to the school, where he was warmly received and celebrated.
Expressing his gratitude, Starwell thanked God for guiding him and acknowledged the support of his teachers, parents, and family members. He shared that his success was the result of consistent hard work throughout the year, studying for 10–12 hours daily, especially in the lead-up to the examinations.
Headmistress Sister Anjellina CH Marak and Class Teacher Kong Sweety Shadap expressed immense pride and happiness over the achievement. They said Starwell’s success has brought great honour not only to the school but also to his family and the entire Ri-Bhoi district.
The achievement stands as a testament to dedication, discipline, and the strong support system behind the student.
