The Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Government of Meghalaya, Shillong
instructs all successful candidates in the posts of Guardsman, Driver and NCE (Non Combatant
Employee) in the recently held recruitment to report to the following district offices in
connection with their appointment and Basic Training:-
Successful candidates residing in East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi District shall report to
the District Training Centre Home Guards, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong. Candidates residing in
West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills shall report to the District Training Centre Home
Guards, Nongstoin. Candidates residing in East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills district shall
report to the District Training Centre Home Guards, Jowai. Similarly, candidates residing in
West Garo Hills and South Garo hills shall report to the District Training Centre Home Guards
Tura, while those hailing from East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills shall report to the District
Training Centre Home Guards Williamnagar. Candidates residing in South West Garo Hills
District shall report to Civil Defence Office Ampati.
The candidates are advised to report to the aforementioned offices on 24-25 November
2020, in order to gain all information relating to their place of appointment, their training center
and other joining formalities and requirements. They will also have to first undergo COVID-19
test and the date for testing will be communicated to them when they report to the offices
mentioned above.
The Basic Training for Guardsman and equivalent ranks and NCE has been fixed to
commence from 1st December 2020.
