Shillong : On the morning of April 23, police from Jhalulara Outpost received information around 7 AM regarding the discovery of a man found hanging from the veranda of Bomver Market at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. The incident has caused concern among local residents and morning walkers in the area.
According to sources, the man was first noticed by individuals who had gone out for their regular morning walk. Later, people who had come to open and use the ATM located in the same building also witnessed the situation. Shocked by what they saw, they refrained from entering and immediately informed residents living in the building, who then alerted the police.
Police personnel soon arrived at the scene and initiated a preliminary investigation. As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unknown, and it is yet to be determined whether it is a case of suicide or if any foul play is involved.
Meanwhile, the Forensic Crime Scene Unit has also reached the location to conduct a detailed examination and gather evidence that may assist in the investigation. Authorities are continuing their efforts to establish the identity of the individual and the exact cause behind the incident.
