SHILLONG : Nathaneal Mantre Laloo, who secured the 4th rank in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2026, has shared an important message for students—use the internet wisely.
Expressing his excitement, Laloo said, “At this moment, excitement is going through the roof. I give all the glory to God, my parents, teachers, and school for their constant support.”
A student of Seven Set Higher Secondary School, Laloo highlighted the importance of responsible internet usage among teenagers. “The internet can be a dangerous space, especially for young people. It depends on how you use it. I used it mainly for educational purposes, following news and scientific content,” he said.
Sharing his preparation strategy, Laloo advised students not to limit themselves strictly by time. “Study when you feel like it, but stay serious. It’s a make-or-break stage. Enjoy your school life, do what you love, but maintain discipline, especially in the final months,” he added.
Looking ahead, Laloo expressed his ambition to pursue commerce and become a chartered accountant, with a goal to serve the local tribal community. “I want to take up chartered accountancy and contribute towards helping local tribals,” he said.
On expectations, Laloo said he preferred to stay grounded. “My teachers and parents had expectations, but I didn’t want to build pressure. I gave my best and I am satisfied with the outcome,” he added.
