UMROI : Two cars were badly damaged after a truck rammed into them while they were parked along the Shillong Bypass in the Umroi area on Saturday.
The vehicles, identified as a Mahindra Bolero and a Renault Duster, were parked on the roadside when the truck, reportedly travelling from the Jowai side, crashed into them.
According to eyewitnesses and local residents, the impact was so severe that both cars were extensively damaged.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident as there were no occupants inside the two vehicles when the collision occurred.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and began an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
