On 22 Aug’ 2023, acting on specific tip-off, vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya seized clothing items i.e. Sarees worth rupees more than 11 Lakhs from the bordering area of East Khasi Hills.
The consignment was seized by alert troops of 4 Bn BSF Meghalaya when the miscreants were trying to smuggle it into Bangladesh. The seized items were handed over to the concerned customs office for further action.
